Capturing Desert Rain

Water is precious in the desert, and every drop counts! It does not rain often in the Namib Desert, with Annual Rainfall figures of less than 20mm, making life difficult to survive in this harsh climate.

When it does rain every drop needs to be captured and stored in the soil, but what do you do if there is no soil to begin with? In the video below we explore the possibilities for future rain harvesting opportunities on our property. It’s a tough situation, but if we start now, we can put systems in place that will benefit future generations to live on this land.
